Mountain View High School

  • “Count Me In” is an attendance awareness program promoted at MVHS to help encourage students to come to school.  Names are drawn at random and students who show up and have good behavior for that week are awarded with prizes.
  • MVHS has created a Mentor Program to help get students connected to school.  We paired faculty with “at risk” students who have attendance problems.  We kicked off the program with lunch at Wildcat Café.

Other things done to raise attendance awareness:

  • Article in the school newspaper
  • Posters with catchy slogans
  • Morning announcements about attendance
  • Attendance blog on our website
  • Attendance information on school fusion
  • CWK program and attendance touched on during freshman orientation
  • Tip box
