Welcome! The Newark Public Schools Safe Schools/Healthy Students initiative, in partnership with Connect with Kids, is committed to providing programs and resources to help students find their passion and reach their potential.

Making the most of the time and opportunities – during and beyond school hours – can help assure student success. After The Bell, a program from the award-winning Connect with Kids television series (with profiles from Newark Public Schools students and interviews with administrators) features real stories about how after school programs and activities have improved the lives of students. In the program, you’ll hear from experts who say the more time kids spend in a positive learning environment outside of school, the better they do during school hours.
