Intellectual IQ and emotional IQ…
Are we keeping score of the right things?

Like all moms, I often wonder what my kids will be when they grow up. To be honest, sometimes I don’t even get as far as what job they’ll have –- I get stuck wondering if they’ll do well enough in high school to get into a good college. But then one of those everyday-type miracles comes along and it stops my worrying dead in its tracks and forces me to remember it’s not all about the grades. It may not even be half about the grades.

School Dress Code – Is it really an issue that merits national debate?

Until recently, the issue of dress codes hasn’t been an issue I’ve been willing to debate. My motto was, “dress codes work – don’t talk to me about creativity and individuality.” Believe me, the kids still find a way to own it.
