Like our motto Learning Today ~ Leading Tomorrow, Richmond County Schools are committed to educate our students to have not only academic success in their school years, but also to become lifelong learners and productive citizens.

Part of that success is helping our students to believe in themselves – and believe in their future. To that end, Richmond County Schools, in partnership with Connect with Kids, has launched an expansive community initiative to empower parents, teachers, and students themselves with the resources to help create a climate in which our students are connected on social, emotional and academic levels. Our goal: To create a culture of hope to help assure that each Richmond County student overcomes the odds, reaches graduation day and continues his or her path of life-long success.

On this website you’ll find Connect with Kids video and print resources created to empower our students, parents and community leaders to implement programming in our schools, community groups, neighborhoods and families. Materials include:

Video streaming of the half-hour television program Children of Hope, produced by Connect with Kids for Richmond County Schools.
A Children of Hope Implementation Guide and Resource Guide, with a parent tip sheet, fact sheet, discussion questions and age-appropriate activities to help put into action a plan to help students create connections and realize their potential.
Children of Hope Public Service Announcements, airing on News 12 WRDW-TV, to further raise community awareness and direct people to resources.
Video footage of recent Children of Hope Youth Empowerment and Community Partners Town Hall events featuring Richmond County Schools administrators, students and community leaders.
